Owner Michelle Wong took a fact-finding trip to Italy, visited the Milano International Coffee Show, and became inspired by the modern Italian coffee bar concept. So inspired, in fact, that she transformed the busy corner at 30th and SE Division into a place reminiscent of the streets of Italy, an Italian-style café housed in a building with apartments above.
Careful attention has been taken to ensure that the modern Italian coffee bar experience has been authentically reproduced. The sleek imported bar is well complemented by the modern furniture with clean lines, the stainless steel counters, and polished concrete floor.
There’s something for everyone at Caffé Pallino: from flaky pastries, fresh pasta, pannini and an a la carte brunch on the weekends, your appetite will be satisfied. The gelato is made on site (produzione propria) and is a must-try no matter the time of day. Manager Katrina Vanderfleet invites you to relax at the café for an uninterrupted period of time and feel a little nostalgia for the cafés of Italy.
